We emphasize a quality general education along with a wide range of electives to develop students' skills in their field of interest. From Year 2 onwards, a careers advisor helps with the selection of specialist, elective subjects.
About the gymnasium
The curriculum is based on general education, i.e. the acquisition of a broad educational foundation, with the possibility to choose from a wide variety of elective subjects from the second year of study.
Students can choose a narrower specialisation and preparation for the final examination and specific subjects for further planned education.

Foreign languages: AJ(+1 compulsory elective - SJ, FJ, NJ)

First, second and third year.
Elective subjects change according to the current needs of the labour market, new situations and events. They can be broadly classified into social sciences, natural sciences and languages.
They are also distinguished according to their purpose into conversational (extension of language learning, e.g. conversations in Spanish), vocational (extension and specialisation, e.g. Milestones of the 20th Century), preparatory (preparation for the matriculation exam, for university entrance exams, e.g. Seminar and exercises in mathematics) and skills.
