At Fostra, we don’t just teach for grades—we teach for life. We help students develop skills they can use in their future studies, careers, and personal lives.
Critical thinking and information literacy – the ability to distinguish facts from opinions and understand the bigger picture.
Communication and presentation skills – speaking clearly, persuasively, and respectfully.
Financial and digital literacy – understanding money, technology, and the digital world.
Fundamentals of project management – planning, collaboration, and accountability.
Mindfulness and digital balance – managing stress, staying focused, and finding peace even in the online world.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) – understanding the technologies that are changing the world – and knowing how to use them.
International IB Diploma – gaining an international perspective, studying in English, and developing the skills needed for further study at home and abroad.
Every student at our school has a weekly class dedicated to these skills. The competencies needed for success in the 21st century are firmly embedded in the curriculum and are naturally integrated into instruction—for example, in the development of critical thinking.
Student Personal Development and Well-being Program
Our goal is not only success, but also student satisfaction. We aim to help students recognize and leverage their strengths, as well as learn how to address their weaknesses.
At Fostra, we know that success doesn’t start with grades, but with self-awareness. That’s why Fostra’s approach includes a comprehensive program for personal and career development.
Career Counseling and Coaching – Every student has regular consultations with a school counselor to discuss their interests, strengths, and plans.
Assessment and Individual Plan – The result is a clear and practical roadmap: which courses to choose, which direction to take, and what skills to develop.
Workshops and mentoring – meetings with experts, alumni, and professionals who showcase real-world career paths – both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Field trips and internships (Career Days) – students get to know the work environment, universities, and specific fields of study.
Support in choosing a university – we help students find a school that suits them – and where they have a chance to succeed (including scholarships and study abroad opportunities)
Individual support for athletes – we provide athletes with an educational support plan that allows them to balance school with training and competitions.
