About the programme
Not every ninth grader knows what they want to do in the future. And that’s okay.
The Fostra Aspira program is designed for those who want to explore their options, discover their talents, and gradually decide which path to take.
With us, you don’t start on a single path; instead, you have the opportunity to try out different fields and gradually figure out what you enjoy most and where you excel.
We offer you a wide selection of elective courses that you can change based on your experiences and interests. When the time comes to specialize, we’ll help you choose the right path toward your high school diploma and college.

What can you expect here?
A taste of different subjects starting in 9th grade – you’ll get to try out humanities and sciences, technology, entrepreneurship, languages, and creative projects.
Strong English – in addition to classes and conversation practice, you’ll also have elective courses taught in English (CLIL).
21st-century skills – you’ll learn financial literacy, the basics of AI, presentation and communication skills, mindfulness, and digital detox.
Support every step of the way – a coach and career counselor will guide you on your journey, helping you discover your talents and choose a focus for your high school graduation exam and college.
English is our second language, but we also offer a variety of other elective languages—German, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Japanese.

Conflicts and Society
How conflicts and crises arise—and how they are framed by politics and the media. From wars and migration to the role of fake news in shaping public opinion.

Modern Society
How is the world around us changing? Globalization, migration, digitalization, and new lifestyles—everything that surrounds today’s generation.

Social Media and Society
How do algorithms and influencers shape our relationships, identity, and communication? Critical media literacy in practice.
-> Students gain media literacy and the ability to think critically online.
Global Challenges (CLIL)
In English: climate change, inequality, migration, sustainability, and other global challenges.
-> Students discuss, seek solutions, and improve their English through current topics that are shaping the world.
A hands-on introduction to modern natural sciences.
Natural Sciences Track
How do biology, chemistry, ecology, and technology intersect in the issues shaping today’s world? This track offers students a hands-on introduction to modern natural sciences—from health and brain function to climate change and the energy of the future.
A Changing Planet
Climate change, ecosystems, and sustainability in the context of current scientific research.
-> Students understand ecological challenges and can explain them in relation to natural processes and human activity.
The Brain and Consciousness
Neuroscience, psychology, and brain function from the perspectives of both the natural sciences and the social sciences.
-> Students gain a deeper understanding of how the nervous system works and can relate it to issues of learning, emotions, and behavior.
Energy of the Future (CLIL)
Renewable sources, nuclear energy, and new technologies compared to traditional approaches.
-> Students are familiar with current debates on energy and can explain their scientific basis.
Chemistry Around Us and Laboratory Work
Chemical processes underlying everyday phenomena, laboratory work, and experiments.
-> Students understand the practical applications of chemistry and develop the skills needed for entrance exams and laboratory practice.
AI, Data, and Digital Worlds in Context
Digital Track
The digital world is changing faster than ever—from artificial intelligence to virtual reality. This track gives students a taste of modern technologies, highlights their benefits and risks, and teaches them how to use digital environments safely and wisely.
1. Cybersecurity
What threats exist in the online world, and how to protect yourself from hackers, scams, and data misuse.
-> Students learn to navigate the internet safely and protect their privacy and digital identity.
2. Artificial Intelligence Around Us
How AI works, where we use it (from social media to medicine), and what its limitations are.
-> Students understand the principles of AI and gain an idea of how it can influence their future work and daily life.
3. Digital Worlds
Virtual and augmented reality, gaming environments, digital culture.
-> Students understand the potential and risks of digital worlds and can connect them to their own experiences.
4. Data and Society (CLIL)
In English: how data influences the economy, politics, and our decision-making.
-> Students learn to read and interpret data, think critically about it, and improve their English at the same time.
Finance, Economics, Marketing, and Personal Projects in Practice.
Economics Track
How does the economy work, how do you manage your money, and what does it take to start your own business? This track gives students a practical introduction to the business world—from personal finance and marketing to developing their own projects.
Finance in Life
How to create a budget, navigate loans, investments, and everyday financial decisions.
-> Students will learn to manage their own finances and understand the legal aspects involved.
Marketing and Innovation (CLIL)
In English: how brands attract customers, what innovation is, and how creative ideas are born.
-> Students develop creativity, learn the basics of marketing, and improve their English through real-world examples.
Entrepreneurship and Startups
From the initial idea through the business plan to the project presentation.
-> Students will try their hand at launching their own project and will also understand the basic legal and organizational requirements of entrepreneurship.
Fundamentals of Economics
What is inflation, how does the market work, and why do prices rise and fall?
-> Students will understand the basic economic principles that explain the world around them.
English in Practice: Debates, Media, Global Issues, and Higher Education.
Language Program (English)
English is not just a textbook; it is a language that opens doors to the world. In this track, students practice English in real-life situations—they debate, work with authentic media, discuss global issues, and prepare for university studies in English.
Debate & Argumentation
How to lead debates, defend opinions, and argue persuasively in English.

Working with authentic articles, podcasts, films, and social media.

Artistic Track
Creativity is a skill that can be cultivated. This track allows students to discover and develop their own ideas and teaches them to work with the media that shape how we communicate and create today. From storytelling to social media and podcasts to visual design—students gain experience here that they can apply in practice and in their future studies.
Creative Writing
How to write stories, texts, and scripts that make sense.
-> Students develop their imagination, expressive abilities, and their own writing style.
Social Media Content (CLIL)
In English. How social media works, how to create posts, short videos, and campaigns that resonate with audiences.
-> Students learn to understand algorithms and create content that has reach and meaning.
Podcast Production
From concept through scriptwriting, recording, and editing to publishing their own show.
-> Students gain experience with public speaking as well as the technical aspects of creating audio content.
Design & Graphics
Basics of visual communication, working with color, typography, and graphic design tools.
-> Students develop an aesthetic sensibility and the ability to create visuals that capture attention.
