Fostra Nexa is a four-year international high school program for both international and Czech students. All instruction is delivered in English, and students spend each day among classmates representing 16 nationalities, international teachers, and native speakers. The first two years provide a broad high school foundation and prepare students for the working methods of the IB. In the third and fourth years, students continue into the IB Diploma Programme, culminating in the IB Diploma examinations.

Continuity of English-Language Study and a Secure Base in a New Country
International students can continue their high school education in English, build on the academic experience they already bring with them, and at the same time settle naturally into the life of a new school and a new country.
An international classroom, small class sizes, teachers who are readily available, and a school counseling center together provide the support students need to adjust, build relationships, and manage the move to a new environment.

Smaller Class Sizes
Smaller groups give students more room for active work and for feedback. Language instruction can be adapted to their level, so that each student progresses effectively and at a pace that suits them.

NEXA structures the first half of the programme so that students gain a broad education and, at the same time, develop the academic working methods they will go on to use in the IB.
YEARS 1–2
Broad High School Education in English
Students receive a broad education in languages, mathematics, the natural and social sciences, and other core academic areas.
Instruction draws on IB curricula and teaching materials, developing skills in working with sources, critical thinking, academic writing, argumentation, presenting, and planning independently.
The result: students enter the IB Diploma Programme with study habits and working methods already familiar to them.
YEARS 3–4
IB Diploma Programme
Students select six subjects from different subject groups, based on their strengths, their academic interests, and whatever further study they may be planning.
The program also includes Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service.
The result is the IB Diploma and solid academic preparation for university study.
Why the transition is smoother: in the third year, students are not starting from scratch. They build on working with sources, argumentation, academic writing, independent planning, and other skills they have been developing throughout the first two years

The IB Diploma Programme Opens the Door to Universities Worldwide
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a two-year international program covering the final two years of high school. At NEXA, students enter it after two years of broad academic study in English and focused preparation for the working methods of the IB.
The IB develops independence, analytical and critical thinking, academic writing, work with sources, argumentation, and the ability to connect ideas across wider contexts. Instruction is in English, and it prepares students for a way of working that will serve them in demanding university programmes.
